After meeting your guide at the pier in Ashdod, you will make the 50 minute drive along the coast to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival, you will drive along Rothschild Blvd. and admire the Bauhaus original buildings, which credited Tel Aviv to be named by UNESCO a world heritage town. Tel Aviv’s modern face is shown in the Habimah National Theater and the Mann Auditorium.

Your drive will continue through Ibn Gvirol Street, named for one of Israel’s most famous poets and you will pass by the Tel Aviv Art Museum, the Golda Meir Center and the Tel Aviv Court premises. Then, you will pass by the square where Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin was assassinated on November 4, 1995.

Your drive will continue along the Mediterranean coast to Jaffa, one of the oldest cities in the world. You will view Jaffa’s picturesque harbor, where Jaffa oranges were once exported, and visit the city’s old section which has been restored as a charming artists’ colony and cultural center. Your walk will take you along the winding cobblestone lanes past art studios and galleries. You will see the clock tower, where Old Jaffa begins, mosques, churches and the town’s exotic flea market.

Then, have your camera ready for a photo stop at Jaffa’s observation point, overlooking the “White City” of Tel Aviv. Finally, enjoy free time to explore the many facets of Jaffa before returning to the pier in Ashdod.
