Tour Details

Roatan, with its location along the second longest reef in the world, offers scuba diving at its best. This tour includes transfers from the pier so while others are negotiating for taxis in a foreign port, you will be on your way to the east side of the island, away from the crowds on the west end of the island.

Walls, that reach more than a thousand feet deep, covered with sea fans, sponges, and pillar coral, can be found near ledges 60-foot deep crowded with striking purple black cap basslets. There are mini-walls where you can see pinnacles, bluebell tunicates, vase sponges, where indigo hamlets, king crabs, and a huge variety of fish life await you.

As many divers prefer to bring some of their own equipment, gear (BC, regulator, mask, fins) is not included in the price of the tour and upon reaching the dive shop, you will be able to rent only what you need. Tanks and weights are included. Once you are geared up, you will head out on your boat with never more than 12 divers onboard and within a short time you will be over the reef.

Here on the uncrowded east coast you will find ledges, overhangs, canyons, caverns, and vertical fissures. In and amongst them you may see moray eels, large groupers, a slowly passing hawksbill turtle or a spotted eagle ray silently gliding by.

To see just a portion of Roatan's reefs would take months of diving. Your guide will lead you to the best dive sites based on your small groups experience as well as on sea and weather conditions on that day.

Please note, if weather conditions do not allow diving off the east end, an alternate program off the south coast may be substituted. Surface interval may be taken on the boat or on land depending on dive site locations chosen that day.
