Make sure you have a camera handy to capture the beauty and history as you discover many unknown areas of Cozumel Island. Your first stop on this Cozumel tour is Discover Mexico, an interactive park designed to educate visitors about the country's history and culture. You can watch videos, check out scale models of Mexico's best buildings and pick up some charming handcrafts as souvenirs.
Next you'll head to Hacienda Antigua, where you will learn the ins and outs of tequila extraction; in addition to learning about this popular spirit, you'll be treated to a small sampling. Following your tequila adventure, you and your group will head to the island's west side. This side of the island is away from the hustle and bustle of city life, ensuring a relaxing scenic ride. Take in the views of the island, and then get ready to get wet!
Save the best for last: Playa Mia Grand Beach and Water Park, where you will have about one and a half hours of non-stop fun, including indulging in a delicious buffet and endless refreshments. Playa Mia offers something for everyone. At this water attraction, you can ride down the 200-foot-long water slides or just sit back and relax at the hydro massage tub; there's even a brand-new floating park you can visit! How you spend your time at Playa Mia Grand Beach and Water Park is entirely up to you.
In addition to the white sand beach and beautiful Cozumel water, there is a shopping area, swimming pool, hammocks, lounge chairs, volleyball & soccer court, trampoline, ping-pong tables, kayaks, paddle boats, sailboats, water trampolines, water bicycles, floating mats, and more!
Available at a nominal fee, enjoy a delicious drink at one of the bars, snorkel gear, other water sport rentals, outdoor massage, hair braiding, temporary tattoos, lockers, towels, beach umbrellas, long distance phone service, and ceramic painting.
For the younger kids, there is a kid's club complete with activities such as Spanish lessons, arts, crafts and games. There is also Buccaneer Bay with water cannons and slides. For the older kids and kids at heart, there are two 200-foot water slides in addition to the pool and ocean. Under the ocean, there are sunken Mayan relics you can snorkel over.
Your ticket also includes an international buffet where you can find a wide variety of food for everyone in your group. There are three bars available for when you need to purchase some refreshments as well as a snack bar. There are also restrooms, showers and changing rooms available. Lockers can be rented for about $12 US cash. ($6 US is returned when you turn in your key) Many areas of the park are also wheelchair accessible. The park accepts US dollars as well as American Express, Visa and Mastercard.
Once your time here is up, you'll be whisked away back to the pickup location. The entire Cozumel experience lasts about 5 hours.
