For guests not wishing to make the trek to the French side of the island, here is a great option right on Dutch St Maarten's Great Bay. The Divi Little Bay Beach Resort is located on a private peninsula between two beautiful bays, minutes from the Caribbean's best shopping and dining, but feeling worlds apart. After you make your way around the bay, check in with the beach staff for your day on the resort's private beach.
Your day at the beach includes one beach chair per person, one umbrella for every two guests, an included snorkel tour for each guest and the rental of a paddle board or kayak for 60 minutes for every two guests.
Not included in the tour price, but available for rental are rafts, noodles, Hobie Cat sailboats and waverunners. Easy currents make swimming perfect for all ages, while snorkelers and divers delight in the marine life surrounding the peninsula's edge. A cafe and bar overlooking the beach are also available for dining or a tropical libation.
Upon arrival, you will want to sign up for your included snorkel tour departing the resort at either 10:00am or 1:30pm (local time). The tour is by boat, lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours and leaves right from the beach at the resort. Depending on the weather and sea conditions that day, your captain will head for the best snorkeling spots, usually along Simpson or Mullet Bay. Your snorkeling tour includes gear and usually two stops are made for snorkeling. Tour returns to the resort.
So that guests can plan their own time at the beach, transfers are not included in the tour so guests can come or go when they wish. It is guests responsibility to make their way back to the cruise pier in time for their ship's sailing.
