Depart from Cannes for the approximately two hour drive to St Tropez.. As you approach the town, driving along the Bay of St Tropez, you can see the pink and yellow church tower even before you arrive. , On the waterfront and in the neighbouring streets the pink and yellow color scheme continues on houses that have been converted into café, baker's shops, restaurants, luxury boutiques, art galleries and antique shops.
Walk with your guide through the predominately pedestrain streets of this charming village as you visit the Annonciade Museum, one of the main attractions in St Tropez. This museum houses works by the masters of pointillism amongst whom figure Seurat, Signac and Dunoyer de Segonzac and Bonnard. There are also canvases by Marquet, Utrillo, Matisse and Dufy.
After your visit to the museum, you will have free time to explore the winding streets in search of their many treasures. There will also be time for you to take lunch on your own. Although it is a general rule that most stores close in France between 2:00pm and 4:00pm, during the main season (May to early October) most of the shops stay open during the lunch hours and until late in the evenings. At the appointed time, rejoin your transportation for the drive back to Cannes.
