Discover the beauty of Northern Estonia on this excursion to Lahemaa, the country’s largest and most highly regarded national park.
Your tour begins when you meet your professional guide and climb aboard an air conditioned vehicle. Departing Tallinn you will enjoy a very scenic drive to Lahemaa.
Lahemaa is an alluring, unspoiled section of rural Estonia with varied coastal and inland scenery. The area includes miles of breathtaking coast with several peninsulas and bays. There are 180 square miles of forested hinterland, including 14 lakes, eight rivers, four waterfalls and 100 square miles of marine area. The natural attractions of the coast, forests, lakes, rivers and bogs encompass many areas of historical, archaeological and cultural interest. Lahemaa National park is also home to numerous birds and animals and a rich variety of fauna. There are permanent communities of bear, wolf and lynx in the park so keep your camera ready!
After enjoying the beautiful scenery, you will have the opportunity to visit several well-restored Estonian country manors of the 18th and 19th centuries. Palmse Manor was built in the 18th century and belonged to the family of barons von Pahlen. Sagadi Manor was one of the few mansions in Estonia to be decorated in rococo style. The rooms have been carefully restored and refurnished.
Departing Lahemaa you will drive back to Tallinn and to your ship pier.
