New Orleans Evening Segway Tour

If you are looking for a walking tour of New Orleans, why not consider this fun and informative New Orleans Segway tour, instead. Why walk when you can glide? Tour New Orleans in high tech fashion as you glide along the famous streets on a Segway. Each tour comes with your very own expert guide to point out interesting tidbits about the city.

Before beginning your Segway adventure, participate in a 30-minute tutorial that offers all the information necessary to operate these remarkable personal transportation devices. Rest assured that you will be given appropriate time in order to feel comfortable using the Segway.

Start your evening in the French Quarter and roll through the city in just two hours on this amazing Segway tour. The French quarter is the oldest part of town, and the heart of the city for New Orleans Natives and tourists alike. The architecture reflects its age, and many of the historic buildings on the tour have been at their current locations since the late 1700s.

Stand on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River and learn about why the French chose to colonize New Orleans. Enjoy sweeping views of the West Bank and catch a glimpse of a steamship paddling by.

It's only fitting that the birthplace of jazz be found inside what is now known as Louis Armstrong Park, named after one of the city's favorite sons. This beautifully manicured park is one of the lesser-known stops amongst tourists, but you'll enjoy the greenery, fountains, and history.

Go past Jackson Square and observe the street performers and artists that help make this city's culture so rich. When the French first settled in New Orleans, this was the center of the city. Surrounding the square are some the oldest buildings in the city and in the US. Among them are the St. Louis Cathedral, the oldest Catholic Church still in operation in the US, and the Cabildo, where the Louisiana Purchase was signed in 1803.

Stop at Bourbon Street, with some of the most colorful nightlife in the United States. Learn about the other side of the famous street, where nestled amongst the rows of Creole Cottages, you will find the favorite hang out of the Pirate Jean Lafitte.

The last stop on your tour is the Old US Mint. The only mint in the US to have coined both US and Confederate coins, this historic landmark now houses part of the Louisiana State Museum.

This New Orleans evening tour is the perfect way to see the sights at night. Come on down to NOLA and see why the city is termed "The Big Easy."
