For guests not wishing to make the trek to the French side of the island, here is a great option on the Dutch side.
After arriving at the dive shop and filling out the required paperwork, you will be given the included gear for your snorkel adventure and make your way to the boat right off the beach. Setting out from Little Bay, your boat will take you to along the coast to a great location for your introduction to St Maarten's undersea world.
Depending on the weather and sea conditions that day, your captain will head for the best snorkeling spots, usually along Simpson or Mullet Bay. The tour lasts approximately two hours 30 minutes and usually two stops are made for snorkeling. Tour returns to the resort.
Upon return to the resort, guests can use the beach area for swimming. Chairs and water activities such as kayaks and jet skis are available for rental. The resort also has a cafe and bar overlooking the water. Transfers are not included in the tour so guests can come or go when they wish. It is guests responsibility to make their way back to the cruise pier in time for their ship's sailing.
