Your journey continues past rolling green pastures, serene mountain vistas and the seascapes below, to the Ulupalakua Ranch and Tedeschi Vineyards. This Historic ranch was visited by King Kalakaua and Queen Kapi'olani in 1874. Known then as the Rose Ranch, it was famed for its' hospitality and agricultural prowess. The King's cottage still stands and is currently the Winery's Tasting Room. The Summit Lavender Sojourn continues with a visit to the Hawaiian paniolo, 'cowboy' town of Makawao. There's plenty of time to stroll and explore this and historic place.
