Climb aboard, strap on your personal headset and press your nose to the glass. Once you have clearance to take off from Tongass Narrows, you're in the air, up and over one of Alaska's most bustling harbors.  On the 30-minute Seaplane Spectacular you'll tickle the treetops that rise above Ketchikan and air tour much of the island, following a route that takes you over and through what is known as the "mini-Misty Fjords."

You'll fly over a busy seaport, towering waterfalls and sheer cliffs plunging into ice-blue waters. You'll experience a bird's-eye view of Totem Bight Historical Park or Saxman Totem Park and native village, an old cannery and maybe even a flyover as local fishermen haul their daily catch into seiners bobbing on the waters of the Inside Passage. Depending on weather and departure patterns, you may spot marine life, black bears, mountain goats, deer and eagles.
