This tour provides a great overview of the beautiful city of Mazatlan. You'll first visit the city market, where the locals come to buy produce and regional specialties. Next, you'll stop at the majestic Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Construction on the cathedral began in 1875 and took 42 years to complete. As the Pacific's largest shrimp fleet, Mazatlan also hosts a bustling shrimp market which you will visit to see a wide variety of shrimp local seafood for sale.
You'll also make a stop to see the famous high divers, who dive into water only 5 feet deep from 45 feet in the air. After visiting some of Mazatlan's waterfront monuments and hearing some local folklore, you'll walk along Mazatlan's historical center to see the oldest town bakery, where you're encouraged to sample the local pastries. You'll also get a glimpse of a local haunted house, the city museum, and the Angela Peralta Theater, one of Mazatlan's most famous architectural landmarks, which was built in the 1870s. Your final stop will be the Lookout Hill, one of Mazatlan's highest observation points, which was once used by the Spanish to guard the harbor and then later used by Mazatlecans to defend their port in a battle against the French over 200 years ago.
