This interesting and informative excursion begins with a drive to Westgate Hills, a large section of Montego Bay, which is part of a former plantation. The area is now a residential area boasting Jamaican homes of varied architecture. Your tour continues through the busy main street of the town, passing buildings of architectural and historical significance, dating back to the late nineteenth century.
The tour will stop at the St. James Parish Church, which was built between 1775 and 1782. The church, dedicated to St. James the Great (patron Saint of Spain) is constructed of white limestone and is of the Greek cross plan with a bell tower at the west end.
The tour continues to the “elegant corridor” of Rose Hall to the Ritz Carlton Resort & Spa. You will get a view of the Rose Hall Great House in the distance as the tour continues to the White Witch Golf Club for one of the best views in the city.
Departing the Golf Course, a short stop will be made at the Shoppes at Rose Hall before continuing though the Spring Farm and Ironshore area, driving past residential homes of varied architecture. You will also go by way of the "Hip Strip", passing Doctor's Cave Beach, once the playground for the rich and famous and landmarks such as the Casa Blanca -- one of the first hotels in Montego Bay.
There will be a short stop at Margaritaville on the “Bottom Road” for a refreshing tropical drink before the return drive to the pier.
