If you have a little extra time in Sitka, there is nothing like the feeling of a giant Alaska King Salmon on the end of your line. Your adrenaline starts pumping while your fish strips out 100 yards of line in nothing flat. It takes both hands on the rod to hold your tip up so he doesn't snap the line. When you are finally able to use one of your hands to start reeling in some of that line he will shake his head back and forth trying to throw the hook. This one is going to make sure you earn every inch of line you bring in. Do you want a fishing experience like this one? Whether its fishing for King Salmon May through July, or Silver from July through September, its sure to be a great day of fisherman versus fish.

You will be met at the tender pier in Sitka, and depending on which pier you arrive at, you will either walk to, or take a quick van ride to the small boat dock where you will meet your captain. Your private charter is for up to 6 guests onboard. All boats have an inside cabin, facilities and water and hot beverages. Fishing licenses and King stamps can be purchased from your captain on the boat if you did not pre-purchase them online. License and stamps must be paid for in cash when purchasing them on the boat.

You will motor into the Northern Pacific outside Sitka's harbor, an area recognized as one of the best places to find the best salmon. You will have approximately 5 hours of fishing time. Fishing tackle, bait and additional wet weather gear will be provided.

At the end of your fishing time, you will head back to Sitka harbor where your captain can assist you in making arrangements to have your fish prepared for traveling or processed and shipped home. packaging / shipping is at an additional cost.
