Glacier Turnagain Arm Tour

Had all day until our flight, so I booked this excursion and was glad I did. From the gondola lift 2000’ up the Chugach mountains, to the Alaskan Wildlife Conservatory and the Portage Glacier tour, this excursion covered it all. If you have the day to “kill” before flying home, I recommend this.

A day of appealing /fun sights & activity Thought this tour was rather expensive when I first signed up, felt it was excellent value once the day was finished. From John, the enthusiastic, knowledgeable and relaxed guide who encouraged a great dynamic within our small-group, to the comfortable van and finally the dazzling sights around Anchorage, it was a day well spent. Getting out of town and seeing Anchorage’s rustic surroundings while learning about the land, people and history puts gives the tour a homegrown feel. It includes lunch in a local eatery, a tram ride, glacier cruise and conservation center that create a sense of real discovery, without being too tiring.
