Scenic Skagway Float

The employees were very helpful and knowledgeable it was beautiful serine afternoon that was full of nature and relaxation

Had a great time and wow was it a nice day and so beautiful. This company was very good at what they do and the ride was smooth. If I come back I will do it again. There were 11 of us and we took to boats and it was great

Wasn’t sure what to expect. Certainly wasn’t white rapids, phew! However it was a relaxing float down a glacier run off. Seeing Two Bald Eagles mates & nest was the best. So quiet just. Perfect escape from ship life& busy tourist attraction. Owen was an excellent guide.

I chose this excursion bcuz I wanted to do something more adventurous while in Alaska. The drive to the location let you see the city and countryside. The stop overlooking the city was breathtaking. The ride down the river was great seeing the natural beauty and habitat. Saw 5 bald eagles on the trip. Looked being off at grid and not with a lot of people. The maximum was 12 people and we only had 5 people. Loved it

Very laid back and relaxing float. Guides were informative and interesting.

We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. My mother-in-law is 75 and not in great shape, so I was concerned that she might have difficulty with the tour or not enjoy it. She LOVED it! It was a little challenging getting her in and out of the raft, but the guys on the tour helped her and she managed just fine. The float down the river was positively dreamy and required zero effort from us. The scenery was spectacular. The guys on the tour were really friendly and kind. My only desire was that it would have lasted a bit longer. The snacks at the end of the tour were a nice touch.

Skagway River Float The float itself was okay, but slightly underwhelming. Getting there: Our tour guide met us right at the end of dock so that was easy. Based on other floats that we’ve done, I think we expected it to be a little more scenic considering that it was in the Alaskan wilderness. We did see a seal & a bald eagle while we were on the river, but overall it felt like we were on a generic river. Not particularly scenic. We had good weather for our float. The tour provided boots for getting in & out of the river & we remained dry throughout our journey. Our guide Sam was very nice and knowledgeable. He saved what could have been a disappointing excursion. He not only a knew a lot about the river, but also the town and the local history. The rest of the support staff was also very nice.

Perfect way to enjoy Skagway. Our tour guide was very informative and the scenery was beautiful!

I would highly recommend this trip and booking through shore excursions. We will always remember this trip as great.

Our float trip on Sep 8 was one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and expert when operating the craft. He and his associate made sure that our trip was all we wanted it to be.

The views getting there were beautiful and the river float was breathtaking Highly recommend

We had such a pleasant ride down the river. We were lucky with the weather and the staff were most attentive and kind. It was a very calm and enjoyable experience.

This was a peaceful, beautiful way to see Alaska the way I'm sure the animals see it. Floating down the river and breathing the fresh air - what a refreshing "float" we had. I love love loved this excursion. It was a nice small group and our guide was incredible. He really lives the alaska lifestyle and I felt like we got an authentic look into life in alaska. I'd actually definitely do this one again.

This was an enjoyable little float down the river and definitely was not a scary experience. The guide was informative and navigated the river just fine. The worst part was putting on the boots because they didn't have a place to sit and get them on. For the money it was a pleasant experience.

Such a great and relaxing experience. Great opportunity to get a look at some of the areas that are missed by other excursions. Also it left plenty f time to explore the city of Skagway.

Brian - our tour guide - was Amazing and Fantastic!!! Such a genuine nice guy and he gave us narrative of the area we were driving and floating. Brian was educating us along the way as we were all in awww of our beautiful surroundings. Also, the other guys on land who assisted us were nice and friendly too. The whole group of guys made sure safety was priority above all else. I will def recommend this tour to my clients!! A++

The river was almost too calm - our oarsman actually had to paddle a bit. That was perfect, because it gave us plenty of tome to spot bald eagles. We saw - wait for it - a total of 10 eagles. Two of them were juveniles, our guide estimating them at about 2 years old. No white heads yet. They were flying together in a swooping game that looked like two teenagers playing "chicken". After a couple of minutes of this, an adult (Mom?) flew between them and broke up the game. The four of us on the raft all agreed that it was mom or dad telling them to knock it off.

Would rank this as our #1 experience. Rafting tour guide was awesome as was the entire experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.

While the pick up at the dock for the cruise ship was a bit on the casual side, it should have given me an idea how relaxing this excursion was going to be. Brian, who picked us up, took us to Brian (yes another one) who was our float guide. Both great guys, and definitely prompt but not in a rush. The float down the river was smooth with no challenging water. We were told about the general area, saw bald eagles, sea lions, and blue sky. The float took about an hour, with snacks and beverages at the finish. This group couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating for our trip. On the way back to the ship, they offered to drop us wherever we wanted in town or back at the ship. I recommend this to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the sights without burning calories.

This was an excellent excursion. The guide was extremely friendly and informative. It was peaceful and I felt I was seeing the true natural Alaska.

it was great, guide was knowledgeable. I traveled with 3 women and the float was perfect, not rough or wet. Highly recommened

We set off on a bus tour to where we met the raft. Traveled through town and saw lots of bald eagles hanging out at the old dump. They are opportunists and will eat anything, dead or alive. Once we met the raft at the river, we were give instructions by our guide. Pretty basic simple stuff. There was a total of 6 of us on the raft not including the guide. It was a simple float down the river, nothing to get excited about, just a leisurely float. We saw some more bald eagles on the way and their nests. Once we reached our end destination, we were offered small packages of salmon jerky for a snack. Most didn't take one but I did and it was good. So, if you want easy and leisure take this rafting tour.

We were surprised and happy about what a small group we had. It was chilly that day, but we were dressed for it, and never felt uncomfortable. Brooke was a great guide with lots of info, and we enjoyed our morning on the Skagway float!!

My wife and I took this trip on an overcast day and temperatures were chilly. Even so, it was our first trip down a large stream in rubber rafts. As such, we enjoyed it. There were no ""white water"" adventures (which we weren't ready for anyway) and our guide was able to work around or through any obstacles (such as a tree that had fallen into the water and almost completely blocked our passage). It would've been a bit nicer in warmer weather but we had no choice in that matter.
