We had a small group and were able to customize the tour a little on the fly due to traffic (always a concern in big cities and cruise stops). The guide was informative and helpful, but the real star was the caves and the temples within. They were simply awesome!

The stops on this tour were great.
Be mindful of time and be sure you get to see everything you want. You could miss the Pewter factory...interesting but not a must.

Batu Caves are cool, but tour did not deliver

Our guide was waiting for us at the port 20 minutes early. We drove towards KL (90 mins away) and stopped at the King's Palace for a photo stop. We switched to another driver who took us to the Batu Caves. We explored the caves for 1 1/2 hours. The monkeys were curious, the caves were cool. There is a dark cave tour at the top of the stairs that we weren't aware of. If you want to do this portion, I would recommend doing it before exploring the rest of the caves. 272 narrow uneven stairs to climb up to the caves. We went to the Royal Selangor pewter factory which was interesting. Our driver then took us to the Petronas Towers where we met the first driver. We didn't get to the bird sanctuary which was part of the tour that we paid for and we literally had 30 seconds to take a picture of the Petronas Towers before we were hustled into the van and had to head back to the port!
