St Kitts Rum

Tour started with some history of the island from our guide, he was great! Our first stop was Clay Villa Plantation. The tour was impressive, the grounds and buildings were very interesting. Phillip was a fantastic host and very informative. After the tour we had a rum tasting with Phillip, it had some very flavourful rums and we had quite a good chat with our host. After Clay Villa we saw more of the island and heard about the history and toured a wildlife area, quite a tour and our guide was very freindly and informative

We pulled up to a plantation and were the only guest on the tour, to our surprise, Phillip the owner was very nice ,funny, and accommodating. Phillip showed us all over the property and told us the history of the family plantation, showed us things they had from generation to generation at the end took us to "his man cave" and tried a couple of local rums , nothing like the picture of wooden casks, but still nice.We then took small tour of the town before Phillip loaned us his driver to take us back to the shopping for an hour, then he took us to our next tour so we didn't have to get a taxi, he waited for us then took us back to the ship.. Very, Very nice guys, would do this again, but picture leads you to think gonna do something else.

Highlight of the 7 day cruise. The property was lovely, Jermaine was a bundle of energy and font of knowledge, and the Clay Villa owners are the real deal. We wanted to stay for dinner and converse (cruise ship would have sailed without us) I'd go back to see them in a heartbeat

This was a very enjoyable excursion, in fact, this was our favorite excursion of our cruise! Our driver was very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The tour it self was very interesting, the grounds of the estate were beautiful, the artifacts were interesting and the owner of the estate was informative and interesting. The rum tasting was very nice as I didn't even know some of the types of rum even existed!!
