Historic Halifax by Foot

I enjoyed the tour very much. It was a perfect day, small group and our guide was very knowledgeable. Halifax is a beautiful city with a memorable history. The tour ended on the boardwalk which offers many restaurants and vendors.

We really enjoyed the walking tour of downtown Halifax. The guide provided a lot of interesting information about the buildings and the history of the city. We learned a lot about the history of Canada as well. The pace was comfortable, and we stopped at the fabulous new library where people could sit and have a snack.

Our tour guide Glen was really excellent and really seemed to know what he was talking about, we learned a lot about the city, and got to visit a number of interesting spots. And we got our exercise walking around the city.

Great guide very interesting . Brilliant guide and easy to find

The tour guide takes the group all over the center of Halifax. There are some steep streets and a very steep hill to climb. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tour description should emphasize that people with moderate mobility limitations may have difficulty negotiating some of the hills.

After some difficulty meeting the guide (5 of us were on time but not certain where he was), the tour continued without a hitch. Our guide Ian was extremely knowledgeable as he had been involved in many historic projects in the city. We covered a significant area, both geographically and factually, with many interesting insights. My only regret was having to leave the tour early in order to return to our ship for an afternoon trip. In all fairness, I don't think the delayed start of the tour affected this significantly; Ian was just a very thorough guide. He was also very receptive to our questions and informational contributions to his narrative.

Excellent tour. Our guide was very informative. The tour covered alot of interesting spots at a comfortable pace. The only thing that would the tour better was if we had headsets to hear the guide. With traffic noise - it was hard to catch all see said .

Tour guide and tour exceptional.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer all questions. She wasn't in a hurry so we could take our time as necessary.

Our tour guide gave us a thorough tour of the city and shoreline activities. Hurricane Dorian had passed through a week before and you could see many of the trees toppled and debris. We were lucky to miss the 100 mile winds. The Victorian Gardens were lovely, the citadel was a must see and we enjoyed the tour very much.

We enjoyed this small walking group around town. Thema, our tour guide was knowledgeable, understandable and very friendly. It was a great way to explore the key points of the area and then we had extra time to walk around on our own.

The lady who showed us around was great. She knew so much about the history of Halifax and all of the buildings on our tour. And you could tell she enjoyed it as much as we did.

It was a lovey way to see Halifax

This was an outstanding tour. The guide was a history professor from a local college. He knew EVERYTHING. Walking tours are the best way to get a good sense of the local culture. This was our second visit to Halifax. I would recommend this tour to anyone that really wants an understanding of the area.
