A Giants Causeway Adventure

Worth your time and money
October 03, 2023
The Giants Causeway is both interesting and beautiful. The bus ride was comfortable and well organized. Everything ran on time and there was no problem getting back to the cruise line. The tour leader was excellent too.

Outstanding Tour
July 24, 2023
A great way to see many of the sites in Northern Ireland. Amanda, our tour guide was fantastic and provided great information for each of the stops on the tour and also provided wonderful information on Northern Ireland. The place she arranged for us to have lunch (if we wanted) was very nice as well. It was a wonderful day and would highly recommend this tour.

Memorable Giant's Causeway
July 21, 2023
Great tour with SEG along the Antrim Coast with stop at Giant's Causeway. and a couple of photo ops along the way. This was a must see on British Isles cruise and it did not disappoint. Walking on the stones was great until the rain came and made them slippery! So wear proper shoes... Stop for lunch in quaint Ballycastle...fish and chips and a Guiness are recommended! Ended with a tour trough Belfast. Great day in Ireland!

CAUSEWAY IS AMAZING!!
June 07, 2023
AS ALWAYS, SHORE EXCURSIONS GAVE ME A GREAT DAY. THE CAUSEWAY IS ALMOST OTHER WORDLY. AND THE TRIP THROUGH BELFAST WAS SO INFORMATIVE. I HAVE BEEN ON 6-7 SHORE EXCURSIONS AND THEY ARE ALWAYS MY FIRST CHOICE FOR ANY CRUISE EXCURSIONS. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THEM

Great Guides
September 15, 2019
After a confusing start looking for the right bus (the tour operator was under a different name), our guide (Gail) was very knowledgeable and caring, and gave us lots of information. At the Causeway she handed us over to a local guide who leisurely walked us down, stopping at various points for stories. A shuttle bus is available for the return up the hill.

Giants Causeway Adventure, Dublin Ireland

First of all I can't say enough good about Shore Excursions. We have used them 3 times in 3 areas of the world and NEVER been disappointed! That being said, my favorite trips have been with very small groups. However, certain outings naturally attract and/or require big groups. This happens to be one of the large group tours, never my preference. However, they do a great job, their guides are very knowledgeable and I intend to continue booking my tours through Shore Excursions whenever and wherever possible.

Excellent tour
September 17, 2018
We had a group of thirty with an excellent guide (former history teacher) and driver. The castles were fun to see but the highlights were the driving along the Coast, countryside and then the Causeway and rope bridge. The bridge isn't for everyone; we thought it a "once and done" type of thing but we would definitely go back to the Causeway. We enjoyed the tour of Belfast at the end and are appalled that the remains a wall dividing two religious groups. But then aren't virtually all skirmishes/wars somehow involved with religion? Here is it 2018 and co-existence in the world still is impossible, sad to say.

Definitely Interesting Natural Formations
September 06, 2018
The Giant's Causeway natural formations were very interesting to see. It was very crowded since we were there in August and the time there was very limited. It would be a good place to visit off season and with a lot more time. Bring your raincoat just in case since it is right on the coast.

The Antrim Coast was beautiful. The rope bridge was a must do and the walk down to the Giants Causeway was a long one but well worth it. This excursion will not disappoint.

Tour itself good--until City Portion
October 09, 2017
The causeway tour itself was quite good. But the ending city tour was simply a drive through rundown parts of Belfast to look at wall separating Catholics and Protestants during the Troubles. That was a waste of time.

Wonderful Adventure
December 08, 2016
Nice small group. After a nice drive to the Causeway, we were dropped off and had a approx. 15 minute walk down to the Causeway. There is also a shuttle you can take down. Our driver did not go with us, which was fine. We didn't really need a guide. We stopped at BallyCastle for lunch and our driver recommended a good place for lunch. We were unable to stop at the rope bridge. Our driver said it was out of their control. Whoever runs the rope bridge decided there were too many buses and we were not given permission to go. Just be aware that this may not be part of your trip.

Wonderful Adventure
December 07, 2016
This tour was everything we expected it to be. We had a small group of 14 people. The large van was clean and comfortable. Our driver was very informative and a very capable driver. The Giant's Causeway was amazing and we were given ample time to walk down, look around, and walk back up. It's about a 15 minute walk from where the van left us down to the Causeway. The driver does not accompany you down, which was fine. We stopped in BallyCastle for a lunch stop. Our driver recommended a very good restaurant there. He had us back in Belfast early so he was able to give us a nice drive by tour of Belfast which was not originally included. I have used Shore Excursions in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Great Giant's Causeway
November 05, 2016
I booked five of us on this tour and we all thought it offered excellent value. We were picked up at the ship and took a more direct route to the causeway to beat the crowds. We were blessed with lovely weather, our tour guide was entertaining and informative. After the causeway, we had a beautiful coastal drive, then finished up with a city tour of Belfast before being dropped off at our ship.

Absolutely best excursion of my 9 port trip. Hiked around trails with plenty of time and enjoy the scene. I am shocked so many didn't get off the bus to experience it.
