"Loved this tour. We left later than the ship's buses so everything was open and they had already left. Because it was a small bus with only 12 people we could stop for longer. Did not take us to any factories, just got to see the city with a guide who knew her area. Really recommend this tour then you can walk around the town after the tour."
"The 5 hour bike ride was thru the streets of Buenos Aires, but most streets were bike lane friendly and very safe. The guides were very knowledgeable and made the excursion fun. Part of the trip was thru a park which was nice, but I would prefer skipping this part and seeing more of Buenos Aires. We stopped for a late lunch which was included, and very tasty!"
"Got the most out of our day. We were picked up at cruise port, taken to historic Valparaiso, Vina del mar, had lunch, visited winery and dropped off at hotel. All in a small group atmosphere. The guides were excellent, very courteous, helpful and most important knowledgable of the area with good English skills. Thank you."
"We had a wonderful time. I think we were the only non-locals in the class, which was primarily young people (we are in the old fart category). The instructors taught in English and Spanish, but after a while I seemed to understand what the Spanish-speaking instructor was saying, as his demonstrations of technique were very good, and he used the same terms repeatedly. We enjoyed it so much that we are looking for Tango lessons here at home. The only negative was the facility. Old building (as is much of BA), second floor, no air conditioning, very crowded room. However, opening the windows at each end of the room helped a lot. Finding the dance studio was a little sketchy, as it is in a residential area and labeled only with a street address number. It shares space with a bar/restaurant that is downstairs."
"The theater was a beautiful and impressive place. The food was somewhat hit and miss. Only two of the four people at our table received steak the way they ordered it. However, the portions were huge, so we just shared with each other. Our steak was tender and very flavorful. However, the folks at the table next to us said theirs was inedible. The Tango show was one of the most incredible performances we have ever seen."
"A nice lunch would have made this City trip better. This was a long time to go without food. We notice that our tour guild stopped and got a taco and soda for lunch while we were shopping."
"We saw the highlights of Montevideo. Tour dropped us off at the main square for some personal site seeing. We enjoyed the tour."
"That cruise was my 95th and I have to say this was one of my favorites stops. The weather was great, service was great, everything went smoothly. I'm booking my 96th and 97th cruise and using this company for my excursions. Highly recommend."
"We were picked up at the dock right on time. Guides were great! Equipment was in very good condition."
"Very comfortable Van. Great guide with a wonderful outgoing attitude. Introduce me to new foods at the fish market."
"A very knowledgeable and experience guide provided a personally narrated tour of a very extensive museum (about 1 hour) and a panoramic tour with several stops along the way"
"A fantastic 7 hour trip, with just us 2 and the guide. The 4 x 4 coped well with the terrain, including 311 tight hairpins on the climb. He could gear the trip to our own requirements. He recomended a super place for lunch above 3000 metres at Valle Nevado, where we watched about 10 condors circling overhead. We came away with brilliant memories and wonderful photos!
Don't miss this trip!!"
"Great Tour. Bus and guide were easy to find. Guide was clear, entertaining, and helpful."
"Unique trip excursion, in the middle of wild life."
"This was a great day! Our guide (Jose, I think) was wonderful. We had a great walking tour of Valparaiso. Then we had a nice stop in Vina del Mar, where we had a delicious lunch overlooking the ocean. Finally, we did a wine tasting at an organic winery. The scenery was beautiful and it was a great stop. Then the tour dropped us off at the airport. It was a truly wonderful day and one of the best shore excursions we had on this trip."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Montevideo. The bus and tour leader drove us past lovely beaches, lovely mansions, and historical monuments. We stopped at a few locales for panoramic photos. We finally ended up in the downtown where we were able to either return to the ship, or get out and walk thru the Sunday market to see more of the city. We chose the latter. It was an easy walk back and we bought a painting for $40 from a street artist who painted charming naifs. A very enjoyable and informative trip -- I learned so much more about Uruguay and its place in Southern Cone of LA history. Very well done."
"This was way cheaper than the same excursion on the cruise ship. It was a smaller van so we got there an hour before the hoards of crowds. Much better experience and they ensure you get back on time."
"As a teaching aid to children of all ages."
