City and Beach
If you love history and you love culture, but you can't choose between these two and add some beach time, you will not want to miss out on this tour while visiting the beautiful island of Curacao.
This special excursion will take you to many of the UNESCO historical sites dotted throughout the city. Explore historical fortresses and pass by the wedding cake building, an aptly-named structure in the Jewish Quarter of Scharloo.
Learn about the island's long-standing Jewish community as you see Mikve Israel-Emanuel synagogue, the oldest Jewish temple still in use throughout the Americas. You will also see the Queen Emma bridge, a floating pontoon bridge spanning St. Anna Bay that has a hinge enabling it to open for the passage of large vessels.
At the Blue Curacao Factory you can take a tour of the factory and find out how they became one of the most famous liquors in the world. Taste a variety of their flavors including coffee, rum raisin and, of course, the original Blue Curacao.
Extend your tour with either a drop off at Curacao's famous Beach Boulevard for some beach fun or swimming, shopping or restaurants. Or choose to be dropped off in downtown so you can leisurely shop for souvenirs in this beautiful city before you return to your ship.
