Two Day Hop On Hop Off San Francisco and Alcatraz Prison Tour

Get ready for an adventure on this combination tour that gives you full access to Alcatraz, as well as a hop-on hop-off tour of beautiful San Francisco. Take a self-guided tour of Alcatraz, one of the most notorious prisons in the world, and then tour San Francisco at your leisure, stopping at the best spots along the way.

From Pier 33, you'll take a ferry to Alcatraz Island, where you'll learn the history behind this amazing prison. Your Alcatraz tour will last about 2 to 3 hours, and ferries run every 30 minutes. You will be notified of your Alcatraz tour time when you collect your tickets at the office of the local representative on the day of your Alcatraz tour.

In addition to the Alcatraz tour, you'll also be able to visit some of San Francisco's best hot spots. Your comfortable double decker bus will take you to downtown San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, and several San Francisco highlights, including Chinatown, Union Square, Barbary Coast, Financial District, the Ferry Building, City Hall, North Beach, Lombard Street, and Pier 39. Be sure to check out Fisherman's Wharf, where you can tour a number of great shops and even see some playful wildlife. Those guests looking to shop even more will be glad to visit Union Square, home to Macy's, Tiffany's, Neiman Marcus, Victoria's Secret and Saks Fifth Avenue.

No voyage to this amazing city is complete without seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. Your double decker bus will stop at North Vista Point, where you can hop off and walk across the 1.7 mile span of the Golden Gate Bridge. The bus continues to the Golden Gate Bridge Park, where you can visit such awesome sights as the Japanese Tea Garden, the De Young Museum, and the California Academy of Sciences. If you continue on this route you will also see the Haight Ashbury neighborhood, Alamo Square, the Civic Center, the Opera House, Union Square, Market Street, Chinatown, and more!

Your San Francisco bus tour also includes a trip to Sausalito, a region filled with galleries, shopping, and incomparable views of the bay. The North Vista point has breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay, and on a nice day you can see the San Francisco skyline, Alcatraz Island, and the Bay Bridge, making it a great photo stop for every visitor. The route then carries on into Marin County and stops in charming Sausalito, where you can hop off the bus, stroll around, shop, dine, visit various art galleries, and enjoy a relaxing lunch by the waterfront. From Sausalito, the bus will head back across the Golden Gate Bridge to South Vista Point. You can visit the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center, stroll around the Presidio, or relax at the beach at Crissy Field. Once back across at the North Vista point, you can transfer buses to the Official city tour.

Night owls who love scenery and bright lights will be able to take the night loop portion of the San Francisco bus tour. Chinatown offers a picturesque nighttime view with its dragon-crested gate, while Treasure Island, which is a little island between San Francisco and Oakland, provides you with the best views of the San Francisco skyline.

As an added bonus, your tour also includes a ticket to Madame Tussauds! Take your time exploring Alcatraz and the rest of San Francisco on this combination tour. You'll take a ferry to Alcatraz and have 24 hours to check out all the wonderful hot spots in San Francisco.
