Private Caerhays Castle and Cream Tea

Your driver will meet you on the pier and drive you through the scenic Cornish countryside during the hour drive to Caerhays Castle. The Castle, which is owned by the Williams family, is located in a sheltered valley overlooking Porthluney Cove on the South Cornish Coast.

Upon arrival enjoy a pleasant stroll to the Castle where you will enjoy a guided tour of this impressive Castle which is today still the Williams Family home. The Front Hall is the centrepiece of the house with an impressive staircase. The Victorian library has all manner of books and there is a round drawing room.

Following your tour of the Castle enjoy a delicious Cornish cream tea before spending some time at your leisure to explore the surrounding parkland and woodland gardens.

The gardens were originally created from the discoveries of the plant hunters in China shortly after the turn of the 20th century. Since then a great deal of work has taken place at Caerhays to create the extensive woodland gardens which visitors can admire and enjoy today.

Following your very special visit to Caerhays Castle rejoin your transportation for the return journey to Falmouth via Pendennis Castle for a photo stop. With its superb coastal setting, Pendennis offers magnificent views of Falmouth, St. Mawes and the Fal Estuary.
