Champagne Snorkel

Whether you're a beginning or advanced snorkeler, there's one thing for sure: you've never snorkeled like THIS. It's a one-of-a-kind Dominica Champagne Reef Snorkel Tour that takes you from your ship on a short 15-minute drive south of Roseau, through the picturesque village of Pointe Michel, to the diving facility at Champagne Reef.

Champagne is Dominica's premier diving and snorkeling site, and rates among the top five snorkeling sites in the Caribbean. Underwater geothermal springs vent gasses in the form of thousands of warm bubbles, giving you a feeling of swimming through a giant glass of champagne and the reef here is quite spectacular. You can expect to see a myriad of sea life including sponges, lobster, parrot fish and a resident population of hawksbill sea turtles and green turtles. You may also view seahorses and the remains of a 17th-century Spanish shipwreck.

Upon arrival at the dive shop, you will be outfitted with high-quality snorkeling gear and given an orientation of the facility and the adventure that awaits you on the reef.

You will swim out to the reef right from the shore. Your tour of the reef is led by professional PADI-certified dive masters who will instruct you on the correct use of your gear and brief you on what you are likely to see and experience once in the water.

After your tour you can enjoy the comfort and convenience of the dive center with showers, changing rooms, refreshments, gift shop and a sundeck overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. You will then return to the cruise pier.
