Reef Snorkel and Glass Bottom Boat
Glass Bottom Boat or Snorkeling Adventure
There's an incredible world below Cozumel. Discover the underwater treasures of Cozumel by snorkeling its reefs or watching through a glass-bottom boat. Either way, the Reef Snorkel and Glass-Bottom Boat Cozumel tour is a great tour for all!
Departing from the southwest side of the island, this Cozumel excursion gets you to the reef in no time. In groups of 25 or fewer, you will discover Cozumel's underwater world of reefs, sea life, and colorful tropical fish, all surrounded by the stunning, turquoise, crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean.
Your friendly professional crew will take care of you every step of the way, no matter if you are an expert snorkeler or trying for the first time. A mask, snorkel, mandatory life vest and fins will be provided to allow you to enjoy your snorkeling with absolute comfort and safety. Your captain will look for the very best spots, based on the day's weather and water conditions. Typically, three stops will be made, often along Cardona, Corona, Dzul-Ha Reef or some of the other reefs that dot the coast. Snorkel stops are approximately 40 minutes each. The number of stops and locations will be up to the captain based on conditions.
Not a swimmer? That's not a problem. You still can view the beauty of the underwater world through a glass-bottom panel viewer that lets you see the world beneath the boat. The viewing area has seats around it allowing guests to sit as they take turns looking down through the two windows in the hull.
Once the snorkeling is over, refreshments such as ice cold purified water, sodas and local beers will be served during the return to the starting point, while you enjoy the view of the beautiful coastline.
Please Note: The tour price does not include the $3 US per person National Marine Park Access Fee, which must be paid in cash the day of the tour.

We ended up not going because we had to be back to the ship earlier than expected and the ship would have left without us, I was so looking forward to the excursion and sad we couldn't go in addition to loosing $108.

Altho the boat itself left a bit to be desired, the men who assisted were very very nice. I had not snorkeled before and was apprehensive but they set my fears aside. Fish were beautiful

I couldn't snorkel due to asthma but my friend did & thoroughly enjoyed it. The captain was very good with me, pointed out different things along the way. Well worth the trip.
I enjoyed the excursion. The Capitan, Guide and Photographer were all polite and helpful. I opted the glass bottom boat excursion because I am not a good swimmer but the Capitan and Guide calmed my fears and I snorkeled for the first time! I appreciated their patience with me.

The snorkeling was very good overall and the guide came in the water with us to point out various things and help those less experienced. One area was a little deep for snorkeling. When looking at pricing, need to consider the additional fees if you are comparing this tour with those offered with the cruise ship. Taxi ride each way was $10 for up to 4 people plus you needed to pay an additional $3 park fee per person. You could possible walk it if you had good walking shoes and plenty of water....I'm guessing it was 2 or 3 miles from where we were in port.
