Whistler Mountains and Floatplane Adventure

This exciting, nature-filled day will have you soaring high above the Gulf Islands, Coast Mountains and shoreline aboard your 45-minute seaplane flight from Vancouver's Coal Harbour to Whistler's Green Lake, to begin this amazing day of adventure. The Coast Mountains offer some of the most spectacular wilderness scenery in the world. During your approximately 35-minute flight, you will have a stereo headset to listen to your pilot's knowledgeable commentary regarding the fascinating history and geology of this amazing area.

Touch down at Whistler's Green Lake and explore the many shops and restaurants of Whistler Village. Skiiing, biking, hiking, volcanoes, glaciers, high alpine lakes and forests, world-class restaurants and amenities are what draw people here. Enjoy four hours here on your own, to grab a bite to eat and explore this mountain ski village.

The amazing sights continue as you head back from Whistler Valley through the pastoral growing town of Squamish. The road follows the Cheakmus river, plunging low into a river canyon carved by eons of melted water, and cresting high above the river and offering views of ice blue glaciers on the peaks of the Tantalus mountains. Board the Sea to Sky gondola in Squamish and ascend for 10 minutes to 2,800 feet above seal level. Take in the panoramic views of Howe Sound once you reach the top , test your fearlessness and cross the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. At 325 feet marvel at the magnificent beauty at the top of the forest canopy.

Stop at Shannon Falls, the 3rd highest waterfall in British Columbia, and catch a glimpse of Stawamus Chief, the 2nd largest granite monolith in the world. Observe how the northern hemisphere's southern fjord branches out, with the beautiful landscape of the forested islands and snow-capped mountains that bend its way down the side of the coastal mountains with views of the ocean. As you cross the Lion Gate's bridge and Stanley Park, on your way back to the city enjoy the views of the harbor and bay.
