Venice Gondola Ride
Enjoy the quintessential Venice experience: a traditional gondola ride. This tour provides the most economic way to tour Venice, in an authentic Venetian gondola. Although this is not a private tour, there is a maximum of only 6 passengers per gondola!
As you glide silently through a labyrinth of canals, visiting parts of the city that are only accessible by this kind of transportation, you'll appreciate a very different Venice far from the crowds of St. Mark's Square. Lined by sumptuous Venetian palaces and punctuated by delicate bridges, a passage through these enchanting waterways is like a journey back in time to the glorious days of the Venetian Republic.
You'll start your journey by traveling down the upper part of the Grand Canal, passing by the magnificent baroque Salute church, the ill fated Ca' Dario Palace, and the famous Guggenheim museum located in Peggy Guggenheim's former home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni. Next, depart the Grand Canal and enjoy the more intimate labyrinth of small canals where you'll see other important landmarks that include the Fenice Opera House, Mozart's House, and the beautiful San Moise Church, to name a few.
The gondola ride is not narrated. Contrary to popular belief, gondoliers do not typically sing. Instead, they are known to row, and most speak only Italian.
Please Note: This tour departs from and returns to the St. Mark's Square area. Depending on your ship's docking location, a vaporetto, water shuttle, or walk may be required. Transportation between your ship and St. Mark's Square is not included in the tour price.

There was some confusion over our tickets and the company in Italy said we had only signed up for one person, but we were on our honeymoon so we definitely signed up for two people. But they made a phone call and said it was fine for both of us. The gondola ride was really great. It took you to small parts of Venice that were quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed it more than we thought we would and would do it again

We loved the ride on the gondola. It was what we were expecting. It had a nice even pace and we saw a lot of places close up. When we went to Venice taking a gondola ride was our priority. We really enjoyed it.

This was a great tour! Except the gondolier did not sing!!! Paddling through the canals off the Grande Canale was fascinating: the curved bridges, flower boxes, hotel entrances, many other gondolas! One hasn't seen Venice properly without a gondola ride!

If you want a gondola ride this excursion is almost 50% lower in cost than most. It is a must do excursion for Venice but one ride will last a life time.
Nice ride down part of the grand canal and some of the side canals. Long enough ride and good price.
