Your first stop in Haines will be the Hammer Museum, the first gallery in the world dedicated to the display of man's first tool. With displays spanning from Egyptian pyramids to the Space Age there is something here to delight everyone on this excursion to Haines.
Drive along the Chilkat River, past the historic Letnikof Cannery to Extreme Dreams Art Studio, you can step into the handcrafted timber frame gallery, meet the owners and see various watercolors, woodcut prints, glass and textiles.
From there you will ride over rough terrain to the ocean's edge at Chilkat State Park. During this excursion, relax with a picnic lunch against a picturesque backdrop of snowcapped mountains and the Rainbow Glacier waterfall before your catamaran ride back to Skagway.
