Highlights of Coyhaique

On your journey, you will be transported to one of the most remote and isolated regions in the world. Learn about the differences in infrastructure between this and other ports you may visit, view life as a local, and enjoy the adventure that awaits as you explore the rugged terrain of one of the most beautiful locations in Chile. Make sure to take a rain jacket with you as the weather in Aysen can be quite unpredictable!

Coyhaique, whose name means "by or between the rivers", is the capital of the Aysen region and a gateway to Patagonia.

During this tour you will get to explore this city as well as the breathtaking rainforest. Travel by car along the Rio Simpson, a famous river that is a favorite with the fly fishermen, and soak in the scenery including verdant plains, huge mountains and cascading waterfalls.

Upon arrival in Coyhaique you will walk through the downtown area and the fountain-lined Plaza de Armas. While here, take note of the various monuments then pop into one of the many handicraft markets and pick up a souvenir or two before enjoying a typical chilean lunch at a local restaurant.

From there you will travel through the rest of the city visiting some secret places where no buses can go.

Stop at the Cascada de Virgin, or Virgin waterfall on your way back to port. This natural waterfall is the largest one in the area and so named due to the semblance of a crown and veil formed as the water rushes over the rocks.

This tour is perfect for those who like to experience the city like a local. Reserve your spot today.
