Huon Valley & Tahune Airwalk

Walk deep into the Aussie bush amongst the treetops of pristine, cool temperature rainforests at the Tahune Forest Airwalk, and wander alongside the Huon River amongst tall tree fern canopies. Learn about unique Tasmanian timbers and wild rivers as you walk across swinging bridges, taking in the stunning views.

After meeting your professional and experienced driver guide, you will start a day full of fun and spectacular scenery. You will pass by regions of tended fields, superb forest clad rivers, and fishing villages set by picturesque inlets. Travel through lush rolling hills and valleys as you get a feel for country life in Tasmania. At your first stop, you will have the opportunity to experience life in the country town of Geeveston. View the wood carvings along the sidewalks and learn the history of forestry in this southern region before arriving at the Airwalk, where you can choose walks from 25 to 45 meters above ground, suited to your fitness levels and interests. Views from the Airwalk are stunning, taking in the Huon and Picton Rivers and the forest around them. There are plenty of picturesque spots to enjoy your packed lunch, as you enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings and the clean country air.

After your invigorating forest experience you will head back to Hobart passing through the town of Huonville, the main hub of the Huon Valley and once renowned as the great apple orchard area of Tasmania. This region now produces various fruits, including berries, cherries, mushrooms and other produce. You will have the opportunity to purchase a sample of the fruit in season, before continuing your journey back to Hobart. This wonderful back to nature experience will come to an end as you are dropped off dockside at the end of the day.
