Private Island Experience & Farmers Life

This half-day program is perfect for art and nature lovers alike. See the picturesque countryside of Mecklenburg and learn of its history and cultural background.

After meeting your professional guide on the pier, sit back and relax during a 25-minute ride through the countryside of Mecklenburg. While your guide introduces you to the area, you will see the yellow canola fields and alleys of linden trees passing by.

Arriving at the village of Klockenhagen, the open-air museum invites you to learn more about life and traditions in Northern Germany during the past centuries. See typical items of farmer's work and everyday life, as well as an old church and wooden barn.

The next stop will be at a farm turned agricultural activity center. Upon arrival, you will be invited to have a piece of homemade tart with coffee before enjoying free time to explore the grounds on your own. Pottery, gifts, clothing, fruits and vegetables, souvenirs and homemade items are sold at this arts and crafts center. You will also find different attractions. On the way back to the pier a short orientation drive will be made through Rostock to see some of the highlights.
