Tongass Wildlife Kayaking Cruise Excursion in Juneau

Get away from the crowds and get yourself on the water for spectacular views and marine wildlife during this moderate Tongass Wildlife adventure cruise excursion!

From the pier, you will be transferred to the kayak shop, approximately 30 minutes away. Here, your excursion guides will help you through a 30-minute orientation and safety briefing. Guides will then choose a kayak launch location based on tides, weather, and the best chances of seeing wildlife for the day.

After getting outfitted in gear and given a safety briefing by your guides, you will be launched from a beach in a tandem sea kayak. Paddle on the water for about two and a half hours, looking for wildlife and enjoying the scenic wilderness around you. Keep a lookout for harbor seals, sea otters, sea lions, sea birds, fish, orcas, porpoises, and humpback whales. You may also see land animals, such as Sitka black-tailed deer, porcupines, and black bears on the shore. From glacier views to mountain views, the scenic paddling locations on this Juneau tour is endless!

Rain or shine, this is quite simply the finest guided half-day kayak trip you will find. You need only bring your camera and an appetite for adventure on this Juneau day tour, because you will be outfitted with all equipment and gear, healthy snacks, and beverages. Join the locals for a true Alaska experience!

Please Note: All guests will be outfitted in double kayaks on this trip.
