King Crab Safari
King Crab Safari
If you've seen "The Deadliest Catch" you've watched the crabbing crews bringing their catch to shore and placing their crabs into special tanks for weighing. During this tour you will see what happens next for the infamous King crab.
Originally native to Russia, these crab have migrated across the northern Norwegian coastline over the past century and can measure up to 2 meters between the claws (legs)!
The fun begins as you board the bus in Honningsvåg for a comfortable ride down to the lavvocamp at Sarnes. Here you will be greeted by the camp hosts who will escort you down to the pier to see live crab crawling around in the tanks. Hold up a crab and smile for your new profile picture as you learn all about this fascinating crustacean.
You and your group will bring the crabs back to the Iavvo for preparation and cooking. Afterward, sit down and be rewarded for your hard work as you sink your teeth into the delicious crab meat along with a side of bread, lemon and mayonnaise. Mineral water is included with your meal and you will have the option to purchase beer or wine.
Following the meal you will relax with biscuits and inhale the salty air as you watch the boats coming and going from the pier before your return trip back to port. Book this tour now to experience King crab like never before!
