Ladder of Kotor Hike

Descend from Njegusi Village to the old town of Kotor on this scenic Ladder of Kotor hiking tour. This is an absolute "must see" of Montenegro for any hiking enthusiast.

This Kotor excursion starts at the home of the famous Montenegrin ruler, bishop, and poet, Petar II. From there, you'll follow an old horse trail to the Krstac Pass for a magnificent view of the whole bay area. The ladder starts here as you walk down an old military zig-zag-road. There are more than 70 U-turns on this scenic trail.

Reach the ruins and deserted village of Spiljari to see an interesting church. Along the way, see the Venetian fortress of San Giovanni and complete the tour on a stairway ending directly in the center of Kotor.

This trail is considered easy to moderate for regular hiking enthusiasts. Caution should be observed on a short part of the trail directly after the pass where there are loose rocks and you need to watch your steps. This hiking tour is a must do from Montenegro. Book now to secure your space.
