Medieval Tallinn By Foot & Estonian Liqueurs

Historical Tallinn has a bevy of magnificent landmarks. You'll begin this walking tour in Old Town, seeing the Stout Margaret Tower, St. Brigit monastery, and Church of the Holy Ghost prior to visiting Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral and the Parliament building (Castle) in Upper Town. Along the way, you'll sample five Estonian liqueurs. Travelers interested in historical landmarks and unique alcohol tastings will enjoy this Tallinn tour.

A two mile long wall from the 13th Century is still surrounding Old town of Tallinn. It is listed in UNESCO as the best preserved old town in the Northern Europe. Since the 18th century, Tallinn has produced and distributed a variety of spirits.

Your learned guide will share Tallinn's landmarks and notable brands of liqueur. First, you'll see Stout Margaret Towers, large round structures that guarded the main entrance of Old Town during the 16th century. Today, you can buy coffee from the cafe to the left of the gate.

Next, you'll visit the Toompea Castle, the grand structure housing Estonia's Parliament, prior to reaching the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the largest and most grand Orthodox cathedral in Tallinn. Just down the road is the oldest pharmacy in the world.

Thereafter, you'll visit a quaint restaurant and sample authentic Estonian liqueur. (Lunch is available but not included). Enjoy free time to stroll the area before returning to the pier. Reserve this Tallin tour to see some remarkable sights.
