Discover the historic and natural treasures of Aruba by mountain bike. Ride along the majestic ocean and see a great variety of fascinating sites from this remarkable perspective.
The ride will be tailored to your skill level and will be led by your professional tour guide. Pedal through the Aruban "Cunucu," or countryside, along genuine donkey trails up to the Alto Vista Chapel dating back to 1750, on a state-of-the-art Trek aluminum mountain bike. Wind your way down along the northeast coast, where you'll enjoy the sounds and views of the waves crashing wildly onto the rocky shore. See the famous Rock Wish Garden, where tourists make wishes and build their own miniature rock towers along the beach. With the northeastern Caribbean wind at your back, you'll pass the Tierra Del Sol Golf Course and the Coral Plateau, home of the California Lighthouse, named after a steamship that sank nearby in 1891. Here, you'll have a chance to stretch your legs and take pictures of the magnificent views.
After descending from the lighthouse, you'll pass Arashi Beach, Boca Catalina, and Malmok Beach, before heading back into the "Cunucu."

A great way to see the island. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative, the pace was appropriate for average riders not acclimated to warmer island temperatures. 5 star recommendation for anyone who enjoys off road biking.

My wife and I were the only two booked for this tour. The tour guide/owner did a great job. He asked about our riding experience and tailored the ride to our skill and experience level. The mountain bikes were in excellent condition and well maintained. Helmets and clean, cold water bottles were provided. Our ride was about 11 or 12 miles and took several hours with the various stops that we made for resting and sight seeing. The only problem was the description of where to meet. Instructions said to meet at the Valero gas station, but it's name has changed to Citgo. It was easy to find but we wondered if it was right until calling. I highly recommend this excursion. (Horseback riding from the same place is also available)

Great tour in Aruba. Intensity of the ride might depend on the people in your group. My husband, son and I loved the terrain but the other couple with us struggled a bit. The guide slowed things down which dragged the tour out a bit longer in the heat than necessary, but overall a great excursion. On time; only small wait times to get organized. Did not cover a huge amount of distance (16km, around the northern tip of the island) but pleasant scenery - if you are looking to get a cross section of the scenery/history/sights that Aruba offers this might not be the tour for you, but if you are looking for some exercise and some great scenery, you will enjoy this one.
I love cycling and thought it a great choice to explore Aruba. Bad: Directions said to go to a gas station outside the pier that didn't exist (name had changed). Driver showed up 15 minutes late did cause some anxiety. Good: I was the only person signed up for the tour this trip, so course was designed for me. The course was NOT for the faint of heart. I left with quite a few scratches from the brush through which we traveled. The bike provided was somewhat higher-end than I expected. Aruba is largely desert-like with a LOT of loose sand. When we reached the seashore it was quite the pretty spot. The guide was great and apparently mountain bikes at least six days a week. I would recommend the excursion, but certainly some improvements should be made. Also, be up front and honest about your abilities so that he can choose paths to fit your abilities.
There were just the 2 of us and our guide as we traveled 18K by mountain bike. We saw the island in its natural state, without all the touristy spots. It was beautiful! It was an adventure, a lot of pedaling, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks to Rancho Notorious for an experience like none other!
