Vancouver North Shore Day Trip

Explore some of Vancouver's scenic north shore with stops at the Capilano Bridge and Grouse mountain.

After departing the city and crossing the Lions Gate Bridge, you will drive through North Vancouver and on to the amazing temperate rainforest of Vancouver's North Shore. This is your best option for a light adventure, a half-day excursion into the stunning nature that surrounds the city. Your award-winning guide will also give you more information on this modern city and its surroundings as your tour

A stop will be made at Capilano Suspension Bridge, located in a twenty-seven-acre park just outside of North Vancouver. Here, you will see the famous suspension bridge that was originally built in 1889. The bridge stretches 450 feet across the Capilano River, 230 feet below. Trek along the Capilano Suspension Bridge, which is raised 230 feet above the Capilano River and crosses a span of 450 feet. Enjoy the park's Treetop Adventures and venture across a series of elevated suspension bridges while walking among magnificent Douglas fir trees that cover the forest floor. While on your North Shore tour in Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, brave the Cliff Walk. Suspended walkways meander through rainforest vegetation and jut out from granite cliffs. Many of the high, narrow walkways feature glass floors, which are all that separate you from the magnificent canyons hundreds of feet below.

Next, you will ascend 3,700 feet above Vancouver as you ride up the Grouse Mountain Skyride. From this impressive height, view the city, Pacific Ocean, and the Gulf Islands below as they get smaller and smaller as you ride higher and higher up the mountain. Once at the top, take the opportunity to enjoy Grouse Mountain's many attractions. Depending on the season you travel, you will see lumberjack shows, grizzly bears at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife, and even theatre presentations. Here you will make a photo stop at a scenic overlook of Vancouver.

Please Note: The order of the stops may vary. If you are embarking or disembarking from a cruise ship and have luggage, please see our Pre and Post-Cruise tours. This tour is intended for hotel guests, and cannot accommodate luggage.
