Private Old Town and Ice Bar
Meet your guide at the pier and make your way to Stockholm's historic Old Town, known locally as Gamla Stan. While exploring its maze of cobblestone streets with your guide, savor the area's historic atmosphere and undeniable charm. View many baroque structures, including the 600-room Royal Palace and buildings boasting ornate doorways and regal coats of arms. Also discover the Stortorget, or Great Square. This lively hub of Old Town is dominated by the Old Stock Exchange, which today houses the Nobel Museum and the Swedish Academy, whose members meet each year to decide the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature. After your walking tour of the Old Town, return outside to join your transportation.
You will travel to the heart of New Stockholm for your visit to the famed Ice Bar. Located in the Nordic Hotel, the year-round ice bar is kept at a chilly 23 degrees Fahrenheit. Bundle up in your provided poncho, mittens, and boots before stepping into the coolest hot spot in Stockholm. The bar's interior, including the drinking glasses and chairs, is made of pure ice. Sip on a vodka drink or a non-alcoholic drink served in an ice glass as the staff explains the fascinating concept of the ice bar.
Departing from the Ice Bar, you will take a brief orientation drive of the city on your way back to the pier.
