Palma and Valldemossa Highlights

Rising from the sparkling waters, be introduced to the Badia de Palma, a city made of honey-colored stone. This enduring city dates to the 13th-century Christian reconquest of the island, and the Moors, Romans and Talayotic people before that.

Begin your tour walking the teeming public squares, palaces, courtyards, and gardens of Palma. Find crooked, medieval streets lined with aristocratic townhouses, looming baroque churches, vibrant bohemian neighborhoods and markets overflowing with all the bounty of the island.

See the famous Cathedral, La Lonja, Almudaina Palace and enjoy the most beautiful panoramic view of the city from the Bellver Castle.

Travel to Valldemossa, which is only a 30-minute drive from Palma, nestled in the mountains on the western part of the island. A village steeped in old-world charm, Valldemossa lies in an idyllic valley in the middle of the Tramuntana Mountains. The ancient blonde stone houses are a contrast against the picturesque surrounding green of olive, oak and almond trees.

This small, quiet village is a jumbled mix of cobbled lanes and houses, making it a place that has always been an ideal setting for writers and music composers seeking inspiration. Frederic Chopin and George Sand spent time in Valldemossa's Carthusian Monastery with its beautiful gardens. A mini piano concert in the Palace of the King takes place every hour and is optional with a fee.

Also, on this full-day tour, you will have a chance to get to the Son Marroig panoramic view-point in the west coast before heading back to your ship.

Please Note: The admission fee for the concert is 8 Euro per person and an additional 6 Euro per person would be required for the Cathedral if you wish to go inside (optional).
