Meet your private guide at the pier and receive a warm welcome to Maui! Your private tour will start with a drive through Kahului and up the hillside to the historic plantation town of Wailuku located in the shadow of the lush base of the ancient Hale Mahina volcano. Nestled at the foot of the dramatic West Maui Mountains, this plantation town was once the center of all activity before tourism set in. View the charming wooden storefronts around Market Street, showcasing dozens of family businesses, many of which have been in continuous operation for generations.

Continue through the town to Iao Valley, a lush rainforest valley that is home to the iconic Iao Needle. Due to many years of erosion and rainfall, the valley has become a stunning lush green landscape with a river running through the valley floor and is home to many different species of flora and fauna. You will stop at a botanical garden to learn all about the valley, its first settlers, and a bitter battle that took place here. The Iao Valley was once a sacred burial ground for Hawaiian chiefs.

From there you will head to Maui Tropical Plantation, a 60-acre working plantation that is the largest on the island. Have your camera ready to capture photos of beautiful flowers and tranquil ponds, then check out the small pineapple farm or relax with coffee under a Banyan tree. This stop will offer an overview of Hawaii's famous fruits and plants where you can stop and smell the flowers, taste the fresh fruit, and hear the stories that make Hawaii so magical.

Conclude your tour at the Maui Ocean Center, a 3-acre aquarium and oceanography center that boasts the largest tropical reef aquarium in the Western Hemisphere (entrance fee not included). Stand at the 750,000-gallon tank full of sharks and stingrays and be sure to visit the 3D Humpback Whale Experience that allows you an up close and personal look at these gentle giants.

Renowned worldwide for many things; its beauty, atmosphere, history, and never-ending supply of incredible attractions offer an experience that embodies the essence of the island. See the best of Maui when you book this special private tour today and enjoy a one-on-one experience for your small group of family and or friends.
