Private Cannes Walking Tour and initiation to Petanque!

Welcome to one of the most picturesque parts of town, Le Suquet. This rustic area is lined with fun attractions, which your guide will point out along the way. For a laid-back excursion filled with photo ops, consider this scenic tour through France's famous Le Suquet.

There's a lot of history behind Le Suquet; the area dates back hundreds of years. In fact, the main street here is the original road to Cannes! Together with your guide, you'll navigate the area's back streets and passageways to discover amazing sights like the Musee de la Castre, a castle dating back to the 12th century that served as a home to monks. There's also the famous eglise Notre-Dame-d'Esperance, which is known for its plaques dedicated to the Virgin Mary; locals create them to give thanks after she answers their prayers.

Your tour ends with an overview of the national game Petanque. In this entertaining sport, competing teams throw hollow metal balls at a wooden ball known as the jack. The team with balls closest to the jack earns points, which are tallied after all balls are thrown in each round. Participants will also get to sip a traditional aperitif before returning to the meeting point. This private tour of Le Suquet in gorgeous Cannes is the perfect way to experience the local culture.
