Private Gaucho Fiesta with Lunch

This authentic full-day excursion from Buenos Aires provides a special opportunity to encounter Argentina's legendary gauchos, the country's equivalent to the American cowboy. Enjoy a fiesta like none other after living a day in the life of the gauchos. This tour includes private round trip transportation to make your day extra special.

You will be transported to a rustic, yet regal, ranch on the outskirts of Buenos Aires and warmly welcomed by the host family. Once you've sampled a few specialties like empanadas (meat pastries), and sipped renowned Argentinean wines, your gaucho festival begins.

Excellent horsemen and cattle herders, the gauchos will take you on horseback through the fertile lowlands known as "pampas." If you are not in the mood to ride, you can walk around the beautiful grounds, taking in all of the sights the property has to offer.

After your horseback ride in the Buenos Aires countryside, it's time for a typical Argentine "asado" (barbeque). Expect to savor an array of culinary choices, including mixed salads, chorizo (pork sausage), beef steaks, chicken, and assorted desserts. Your Argentinian feast also includes three beverages (a half bottle of wine, a mineral water or soft drink and a coffee or tea).

Following your hearty meal, a folkloric musical show will unfold, featuring Argentine song and dance. Then you'll be invited to watch the gauchos perform the "carrera de sortijas" (ring-race) and the "carrera cuadrera" (horse races).

This popular tour of the gaucho lifestyle allows you to step back in time and experience the daily lives and festivities unique to to the Argentinian Gaucho.
