Private Gourmet Cooking Class

Santorini is a volcanic island blessed with superb wines and outstanding agriculture. On this private tour, you will learn the different types of wine grapes and distinctive foods cultivated here.

Your local tour expert will take you to two of the most celebrated wineries on the island where you will learn about Assyrtiko, Athiri and Aidani, three indigenous grape varieties.

Discover how the grapes are cultivated and the way the kouloures, or circular pits, are used. Learn the history of each winery and participate in a delicious wine tasting.

Journey to a local farm where you will observe the cultivation process of the famous Santorinian tomatoes. Become familiar with distinctive, local flavors including katsouni, white eggplants, and the island staple, yellow fava beans.

Now, take what you learn and, under the guidance of a local cook, create your meal starting with a Santorinian salad of tomatoes, capers, katsouni, and chloro cheese. Next, you will craft two traditional island dishes, Tomato balls and paste from fava beans.

Conclude your experience by enjoying your meal seaside with a glass of homemade wine.
