Private Jewish Heritage Tour

Gain a deeper appreciation of the Jewish immigration and influence in Uruguay throughout the last century on this illuminating half-day private Montevideo excursion.

Your private tour begins in the "Old Town", where Jewish immigrants began to settle at the end of the 19th century. Pass by Golda Meir Square and the Hebraica Maccabi Sports Center, stopping to visit the Sephardic Synagogue and the main Community Center.

Continue to the "Goes" area to view the colorful housing projects built in the early 1920s by real-estate developer Emilio Reus, then see the old Synagogue. The last portion of the tour will give you a glimpse of present-day life, with views of the "Pocitos" residential area and Jewish Schools. Conclude at the Holocaust Memorial, the only one of its kind in South America.

If you have an interest in the rich Jewish heritage of Uruguay, this private Montevideo tour is a great opportunity to learn and explore an important part of history.
