Private Palma de Mallorca Highlights - Full Day

The delightful city of Palma welcomes you to experience its landmarks for a full-day. In the heart of the city, you will visit the Almudaina Palace before seeing the ancient, marine focused Lonja building. From Bellver Castle, you enjoy stunning views prior to driving west to reach Valldemossa village, its Carthusian Monastery, and the Palace of the King Sancho. All with your own private guide and vehicle.

With Roman, Muslim, and Christian influences, the varied architecture and cultures make Palma an exquisite destination. Traveling the cobblestone lanes with your English-speaking guide, you will reach the Almudaina Palace. This enormous Arabian fortress was converted into a royal residence in the 14th-century. And its ornate architecture is breathtaking.

Nearby, you will see the Roman Catholic, Palma Cathedral. Construction began by the orders of King James I in 1226, however it was not completed until 1601 due to wars and the resulting changes of authority. The massive Gothic-styled cathedral overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.

Thereafter, you are escorted to the Lonja building. This Gothic masterpiece, built in the 15th-century by Guillem Sagrera, was the former Maritime Stock Exchange. Today, it hosts exhibitions open to the public.

Next, you will visit the incredible Bellver Castle, one of the few circular castles in Europe. Built in the 14th-century by King James II of Majorca, the Gothic castle is the seat of the city's History Museum.

The quaint village of Valldemossa is a short drive away from Palma, tucked in the mountains on the western part of the island. You will understand why composers and writers, like Frederic Chopin and George Sand spent time working here, enjoying Valldemossa's Carthusian Monastery and its phenomenal gardens.

Prior to returning to pier, you will be privy to a short piano concert at the nearby Palace of the King Sancho, ruler for 13 years (1311-1324) during a peaceful period on the island. Reserve this full-day, private Spain excursion for a thoroughly enjoyable Palma experience.
