Guaranteed to be one of the best shore excursions from this port of call, relax in comfort in your private group as you make your way through the wonderful Costa Rican countryside in air-conditioned transportation. This small group tour will provide professional and personalized service for any guest using a wheelchair.
Your guide will point out many sights of interest along your journey including mango, sugar and citrus plantations, diverse fruit stands and rural farming communities. After approximately 1-hour's drive from the pier, you will arrive to the river.
Upon arrival to the beautiful property located just besides the river, you will have some free time to explore the surroundings before boarding the covered motor launch. Famous for its large American Crocodiles, the Tarcoles River forms the Northern border of Carara Biological Reserve on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. After your discoveries on the river you will enjoy a delicious lunch in a typical style native to the region and have time for souvenir shopping and possibly purchase some of the local Cafe Prestige, the best quality coffee found in Costa Rica.
Please Note: This 6-hour tour is specifically designed for those guests NOT confined to a non-motorized wheelchair who can board the van with assistance. Family and friends are welcome to participate and must be able to step in and out of transportation.
