Sea to Sky Post Cruise with Deep Fjord Zodiac Tour

Just because your cruise has ended, doesn't mean the adventure has to stop now that you are back on land. Begin your day of exploration at the pier when you are met by your local, friendly guide and escorted to the awaiting transportation that can also store your luggage and travel with you. Ride in comfort while being provided live tour commentary conducted in English by your highly trained and award-winning guide.

Make your way out of Vancouver via Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge as you view the beautiful harbor and experience the bay views as the sun rises over the mountains to the east. Travel along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway named one of the top 10 best coastal drives in the world. The longest paved road in Canada, the Trans-Canada Highway, is the way to Horseshoe Bay and winds its way alongside the Coastal Mountains as they rise from the ocean depths and tower over you. Have breath-taking views of the northern hemisphere's most southern fjord as it stretches out to with a backdrop of forested islands and snow-capped peaks.

Your first stop is the beautiful and quaint seaside village of Horseshoe Bay, a small resort community complete with quaint shops and home to a BC Ferries terminal that offers gorgeous views of the surrounding area. Take the time for a short coffee and restroom break all the while snapping panoramic pictures.

From here is where you will meet with your zodiac guide to begin your seaside adventure. You will meet again with your other group and guide in Britannia Beach approximately one hour later.

With an experienced guide at the helm, step aboard a 9-meter (30 foot) zodiac boat and travel up the Howe Sound coastline. Within minutes, you will be soaring like the eagles at high speeds, seeing what our beautiful backyard has to offer! Sit back, relax, and take in the sights with the refreshing sea mist in your face. Watch the seals as they bask in the sun at Pam Rocks, admire the towering cliffs of Anvil Island, and keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles, cormorants and other sights seen from the water.

Your transportation will next travel up Howe Sound, the southern-most glacial fjord in North America. Just a short trip down the Sea-to-Sky Highway you will soon be able to see and feel nature's power at Shannon Falls - the third highest waterfall in the province at just under 1100 feet. Have your camera ready and enjoy a short walk to the base for some great photos of nature's beauty of these cascading falls.

Located next to Shannon Falls is Squamish's newest visitor attraction, the spectacular Sea to Sky Gondola. Board the gondola and ascend for 10 minutes to 2,800 feet above sea level. Be greeted by panoramic views of Howe Sound and while at the top, test your courage by walking across the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. At 210 feet high, this bridge and accompanying viewing platforms offer you 325 feet of breathtaking beauty along the top of the forest canopy.

After having time for lunch (at your own expense), you will next make your way back down the highway to your final stop at the Britannia Mine Museum. A National Historic Site of Canada, you will have the opportunity to board a mine train and ride into early haulage tunnel, while learning about the unique history of its seventy-year life. With over 60,000 people having lived and worked here, the Britannia Mine was once the biggest copper mine in the British Empire.

After your mine exploration, enjoy a fjord-side return trip to Vancouver and your hotel or the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), but not before one last stunning harbor-view on a second crossing of the Lions Gate Bridge. This 7-hour tour will certainly not disappoint and will make memories that last a lifetime, reserve your place by booking today.
