Singapore in Half a Day Tour

Celebrating its Golden Jubilee for 50 years of independence in 2015, your guided Singapore tour starts in vibrant Little India. Then you'll enjoy comfortable transportation to the Singapore River, home to the water spouting Merlion statue. From there, you'll see the fast paced Financial District along the way to colorful Chinatown. Thereafter, the brilliant Botanic Gardens, home of the National Orchid Garden, completes your tour.

This pleasurable journey through cultural Singapore begins in Little India. Predominately home to India's Tamil peoples, there are many colorful mosques, churches, and Hindu temples (like Veeramakaliamman Temple) that serve as a scenic backdrop for its active residents.

Next, reach the mouth of the Singapore River. In addition to astonishing bayside views, the Merlion, a magnificent statue of a lion and fish, spouts its water fountain into the sea a few feet away from you. The Merlion is a national icon representing Singapore's humble beginnings as a fishing village.

Singapore is a global financial hub with the world's third largest foreign exchange center. You'll drive through the action, seeing the monumental Supreme Court building and the complex grounds of City Hall before reaching Chinatown.

As Singapore's largest ethnic group, you'll find the Chinese have made many cultural contributions. Even so, right in its midst of this busy sector, you'll spot one of the oldest and most ornate of Hindu Temples.

Most notably, you'll visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens, dubbed the "green lung" of the city. Experience the calm and serenity of this 128-acre garden. Within the grounds is the National Orchid Garden. The orchid is Singapore's national flower. Here, you can marvel at the wide and colorful variety of orchids on display.

For visitors interested in seeing an overview of the sights and diverse cultures forming the global city-state, this is the ideal Singapore tour.
