Halifax by Land & Sea

Hop onboard an amphibious supply boat form the Vietnam War, refurbished into a colorful tour boat that will take you from the streets of Halifax, over the waterfront, and into the harbor.

You'll depart near the Halifax waterfront and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, which houses many nautical and naval artifacts, including permanent exhibitions on the Titanic and the Halifax Explosion.

The tour winds through the streets of the Halifax peninsula, with a guide narrating the tour. You'll hear all about the city's history, from pirates and fortresses to its role in some of Canada's biggest moments.

See the bustle of the city's shopping district on Spring Garden Road and take in a bit of history as you cruise by the Citadel National Historic Site, the Victorian Public Gardens, and St. Paul's Church.

Once you're on the water you'll get a brand new view of the naval dockyards with huge military ships in dock, Halifax's Historic Properties, the waterfront Boardwalk, and the tall ships and yachts that reside in the harbor. The city's ferries will crisscross around you on their trips from Halifax to Dartmouth as you get a closer glimpse of the George's Island lighthouse. See beautiful Halifax from a different perspective on this tour of the land and sea.
