The excitement begins as you board a 62-foot aluminum express cruiser and head out to the whale watching area. A trained naturalist guide will be on hand to explain the eco system and what you see.
Between Orca (summer), Gray and Humpback whales (spring and fall), your chances of seeing one of these magnificent animals is 85 percent. While on the water you will also have a chance to see other wildlife including sea lions, porpoises and seals against the gorgeous backdrop of the Gulf Islands. You will also see a wide variety of shore birds including bald eagles, blue herons, gulls and cormorants.
Once in Victoria, explore this historical city with its British influences and popular landmarks such as the Gothic-style Christ Church Cathedral and Craigdarroch Castle. Tour the childhood home of artist and writer Emily Carr then view the surroundings at Beacon Hill Park or meander through the colorful collection of flower gardens at Butchart Gardens.
